Why the renewal is higher. Registries set a wholesale price, and a discounted first year is the registrar’s promotion rather than the real cost. That is true at every registrar, not only here. We print both numbers so you can decide with the whole picture — a name you plan to keep for ten years should be chosen on the renewal figure, not the first one.
Picking the right one.
Short version: buy the one your customers will type. Here is how they differ.
.in — the default for an Indian business
Signals you are Indian, which matters for local trust and for search in India. ₹699 the first year, ₹899 after. Availability is far better than .com, so you can usually get the exact name you want.
.com — the one people type by reflex
Still the strongest signal internationally, and the one a visitor types when they half-remember your name. ₹1,299 the first year, ₹1,499 after. Good names are scarce.
.co.in and .org.in — the cheaper Indian pair
₹599 the first year and ₹799 after, the lowest renewal we sell. Worth taking alongside your main name so nobody else registers the near-match.
.shop, .online, .xyz — cheap first year, read the renewal
Attractive opening prices — .shop starts at ₹499 — but renew far higher, .shop at ₹3,499. Fine for a campaign or a short project; check the second-year figure before building a business on one.

A domain is the one thing about a website that is genuinely hard to change later.
Say it out loud
If you have to spell it over the phone, it is the wrong name. Hyphens and creative spellings cost you traffic every single day.
Shorter beats clever
People mistype long names and give up. Two syllables is worth paying more for than a descriptive mouthful.
Buy the near-misses
If you take yourbrand.in, take yourbrand.co.in too. At ₹599 it is cheap insurance against someone else registering it.
Check it is not taken elsewhere
Search the name on social platforms before you commit. A matching handle is worth more than a slightly better extension.
Avoid trademarks
A registry will sell you a name that infringes a trademark. That does not mean you get to keep it, and a dispute costs far more than the domain.
Think about the renewal
A .shop at ₹499 looks attractive until year two at ₹3,499. Choose a name you will keep for a decade on the second figure, not the first.

Bringing a domain you already own.
A transfer usually adds a year to your expiry date, so you are rarely paying for time you lose.
Unlock it
At your current registrar, switch off the transfer lock and disable WHOIS privacy for a moment so the confirmation email reaches you.
Get the auth code
Sometimes called an EPP code. Your current registrar gives it to you, usually instantly in their panel.

Approve the email
The registry emails the registrant address. Approve, and the transfer completes in about five days — your site stays live throughout.
A domain registered in the last 60 days cannot be transferred. That is a registry rule everywhere, not ours. If you have just bought a name elsewhere, point its nameservers at us instead and transfer later.

How much is a .in domain?
₹699 for the first year and ₹899 a year after that, excluding GST. Three years costs ₹2,497. Every other extension is in the table above with the same two figures.
How much is a .com domain?
₹1,299 the first year, ₹1,499 on renewal. The gap is small on .com, which is one reason it is a safe long-term choice.
Why is the renewal price higher than the first year?
Because the first year is a promotion and the renewal is the real cost. Registries set a wholesale price that registrars discount to win the registration. It happens everywhere — we just print both numbers instead of one.
Do I get a free domain with hosting?
Yes, on every plan — a free .com, .in or .co.in domain for the first year. From the second year it renews at the price in the table above.
Can I transfer my domain to SitePex?
Yes. Unlock it at your current registrar, get the authorisation code, and start the transfer from your client area. It usually adds a year to your expiry, and your site stays live throughout. Domains registered within the last 60 days cannot be transferred — that is a registry rule.
Can I use a domain I bought somewhere else?
Yes, and you do not have to transfer it. Point the nameservers or a single A record at us and keep the domain where it is. We will tell you exactly which records to set.
Is WHOIS privacy free?
Free where the registry permits it. Some extensions, including several Indian ones, do not allow privacy at all. We tell you which before you register.
What happens if my domain expires?
There is a short grace period, then a redemption period with a substantial registry fee, then the name is released to anyone. Auto-renew is on by default to avoid all of that, and you can switch it off yourself.
Is the domain fee refundable?
No, and not with any registrar. The registry is paid the moment a name is registered and that payment cannot be recovered. Our 30-day guarantee covers the hosting fee in full, never the domain.
Can I manage DNS records myself?
All of them, from the DNS zone editor in cPanel. Adding a TXT record for email verification or pointing a subdomain takes about thirty seconds and needs nobody’s permission.
Do prices include GST?
No. Every figure on this page excludes GST at 18%, which is added at checkout. You will receive a GST invoice, and you can add your GSTIN to claim input tax credit.
Do these prices ever change?
Registries adjust their wholesale fees occasionally and we update this table when they do. The cart always shows the live price for the exact name you are buying, so that is the figure to trust at the moment of purchase.
